It’s almost comical. Of course council rallies around their own. To expect current council to look at the facts regarding Marl’s shady attempt to oust the fire chief is like expecting SCOTUS to go against TRUMP. Lost all respect for Saline City Council!
ALBION, MI -- Saline student Ian Balint was named to Albion College's Dean's List for the Spring 2024 semester. Albion College's Dean's List recognizes students who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA while taking four graded courses. Balint is majoring in marketing management with a minor in sports communication.
Students who make the dean's list are recognized for outstanding academic achievement. Benefits include personal achievement, prestige, public recognition, the opportunity to attend special events, being granted scholarships, and standing out on job applications.
An undergraduate student who carries 12 or more credits for a grade and achieves a grade-point average of 3.5 will be included on the Academic Honors List (Dean's List) for that semester.
That is certainly an amazing accomplishment! Since dean's list is one of the highest collegiate levels of academic achievement that a student can be recognized for, there is little doubt that this is an honor worth letting employers know about.
The award is given to a top percentile of students, like the top 10% or 25%. The exact dean's list GPA requirements will depend on each particular pool of students, but is usually at least a 3.5 GPA. To be eligible, you'll also need to be a full-time student taking a minimum number of credits (often around 12 credits).
How do I know if I am on the Dean's List? The Registrar generates the Dean's List after grades are in every semester. Eligible students will receive a 'Dean's List' notation on their transcript.
An undergraduate student is named to the dean's list when the student has earned at least a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) for: 12 or more credits of graded course work during a semester. 6 or more credits of graded course work during a summer term.
A notation regarding dean's list achievement appears on the unofficial transcript. The dean's list is generated at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.
Making the Dean's List is a big deal because it shows that you can get good grades, but also it's a testament to your hard work, dedication, and commitment to your education. It shows that you've gone above and beyond in your studies and stood out among your peers.
The Dean's List honors outstanding academic achievement by undergraduate students in each of the University's Colleges. Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn at least a 3.5 GPA at the end of any Fall or Spring semester in order to receive this distinction.
Deans' List. The Dean's List, published at the end of each semester, contains the names of students who have earned a GPA between 3.5—3.99*. To be eligible, students must have completed a minimum of twelve (12) semester credits of letter-graded (A, B, C, D, F) coursework; pass/no credit coursework is not included.
Undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 12 credits during a given semester with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 to 3.799 are placed on the Dean's List. Undergraduate students who achieve a GPA of 3.80 or above are placed on the President's List.
